Chaa’s Diary: May 1st, 2025

  • by

Lately, I’ve been thinking about hikikomori.
There are problems.

There are children who don’t go to school—

or don’t want to.
So adults try so hard to fix it—

to change things for the struggling child.
Parents and teachers work hard.

But often, instead of working as a team,

they end up working against each other.
These days, I see it’s not just the kids.

The adults are struggling too.

Both sides need help.

Both sides need just a little more understanding.

I find blessing and love

in who I am—

and who I walk with.

I love food with natural flavors
—
spicy, sour, bitter.

But I don’t enjoy sweet dishes in meals.
I love milk, coffee, and tea—

but not milk with coffee.

Some things, even when good,

just aren’t meant to mix.

Spices—

one may be strong,

but together, they create a whole new taste.

People are like that too.

Sweet, tough, rude, kind, loving, toxic…
Alone, we might stay the same.

But together—

with the right someone—

we can become
a better version of who we are.
