April 6: Action and Steps to Action

Today, I feel that many of us—myself included—yearn to break free from our confines and extend beyond our current boundaries. There is an undeniable longing for improvement and progress. Yet, I also notice that in our haste, words and actions are often born from fleeting emotions rather than thoughtful reflection.

I have come to understand that even the smallest disturbance can sap an individual’s strength and energy. Still, I witness the undeniable talents within each person; through life’s trials, people grow strong and stable. Words and deeds have the power to both forge and fracture the connections between us.

I believe that our emotions should not be dictated solely by external events; true vibrancy must spring from within. Though family remains our greatest blessing, it can also drain us if it does not rest on a solid foundation.

I want to begin from a place of inner truth.

#MyHeartBelongsToGod

The words of Isaiah 40:31 speak deeply to me:

Scripture (Isaiah 40:31, NRSV):
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Hebrew Text (from the Masoretic Text):
וְקוֹיֵי יְהוָה יַחֲלִיפוּ כֹּחַ; יַעֲלוּ כַּנְּשָׁרִים, יֵרְצוּ וְלֹא יִעָפוּ, יֵלְכוּ וְלֹא יִגָּעוּ.

Explanation of Key Hebrew Phrases:

  • וְקוֹיֵי יְהוָה (ve’qoyei Adonai):
“Those who hope in the Lord” – The term “קוֹיֵי” (qoyei) implies placing one’s hope or trust, while “יְהוָה” (Adonai) is God’s sacred name, reminding us that true hope is anchored in divine faith.
  • יַחֲלִיפוּ כֹּחַ (yachalifu koach):
“Will renew their strength” – “יַחֲלִיפוּ” (yachalifu) means to change or renew, and “כֹּחַ” (koach) refers to strength. This promises that trust in God brings a refreshing renewal of inner power.
  • יַעֲלוּ כַּנְּשָׁרִים (ya’alu kanesharim):
“They will soar on wings like eagles” – The majestic image of eagles symbolizes rising above challenges. “יַעֲלוּ” (ya’alu) suggests an ascent, urging us to overcome our struggles.
  • יֵרְצוּ וְלֹא יִעָפוּ (yeretsu v’lo yi’afu):
“They will run and not grow weary” – This phrase speaks of endurance and unflagging energy, assuring that those who trust in God will maintain strength even in hardship.
  • יֵלְכוּ וְלֹא יִגָּעוּ (yelchu v’lo yigagu):
“They will walk and not be faint” – Promising that even when life demands a steady pace, we will not falter, this phrase reinforces the idea of persistent resilience.

My prayer

My heart belongs to God, and through faith, I gather the strength needed to overcome any disturbance. I am determined to let my actions and words be rooted in thoughtful emotion rather than impulsiveness. May these insights guide us as we all strive to step confidently beyond our boundaries.
