Chaa’s Diary: May 11, 2025

Some people see us and believe we can help them. When I think about helping others, it’s because I myself am constantly being helped by someone.

There are those who live in fear, guarding themselves so heavily that I believe they’ve lost touch with who they really are.

I’ve met people struggling to feel capable in the roles they’ve been given. I’ve offered them counsel—and to my surprise, some of them are incredibly gifted. The way they express themselves through writing under pen names… I can feel every emotion and thought in their words. Their writing transports me—truly, I’m taken to another planet.

There are many things and people that inspire us, uplift us, and sometimes, weigh on us.

What I’m learning is this: we must guard our minds. We must put effort into protecting our thoughts and nurturing the parts of ourselves that remind us of who we truly are.

Some might ask, “What does it even mean to feed the mind?” or say, “That’s too hard.” But let me ask—don’t we take advice about what to eat or drink? Shouldn’t we be just as careful about what we allow into our hearts and minds?
