Building a team within one school, one family, or one company is challenging, but at least everyone shares the same foundation.
But when it comes to working together across different companies, schools, or families, things become much more complicated. Today, I was reminded just how easily people can feel hurt or misunderstood when we try to collaborate beyond our usual circles.
Families—husbands and wives, siblings, friends, coworkers—each of us brings different backgrounds, habits, and ways of thinking. Sometimes, that makes things hard.
But I’ve learned that hardship doesn’t mean we’re failing. Hardship doesn’t mean things are impossible.
What it really means is that we are growing:
We’re gaining wisdom.
We’re learning patience.
Our understanding becomes bigger, deeper, richer with every new challenge.
Even with my own busy, sometimes overwhelming schedule, I made time today to call people I know are struggling.
And you know what? I found joy in every little thing that happened.
Tonight, my heart is full of gratitude.
