Chaa’s Diary: April 16th, 2025

  • by

There are certain things I’ve wanted to do ever since I was about eight years old: I want to learn Chinese. I want to sing. I want to compose music. I want to write books. These years, I want to master InDesign. I want to become skilled in Illustrator.

And yet, I’m not perfect at any of them.

Sometimes I wonder—should I feel disappointed in myself, or is it time to rethink my approach?

The truth is, I am singing songs. I haven’t composed my own music—yet—but I haven’t stopped trying. I’ve written books, and I keep writing. As for InDesign and Illustrator, I’ve picked them up here and there, a little at a time. Progress is slow, sometimes it feels like I’m going nowhere.

But I remind myself: I can’t do it all alone.

Dreams take time. Growth is slow. And even if I haven’t reached perfection, I’m still moving forward—step by step, song by song, word by word.
